GW Movement Trays (II)

Good news everyone! As promised, here is the second part of my analysis of the GW movemet trays. In the previous entry i showed how to build one: well, here is the result:

Ta-dáaaaa!!

And now, with little plastic soldiers:

Should finish them someday...

Now, let´s talk about the problem i told you before: the wasted space. Y´know, plastic borders of this set ADDS two milimeters extra to de base, and considering the squares on the second are exactly the size of GW movement bases that means...

... you end with this extra space.

     ALL around your unit:

You can think that it´s not a big deal (ok, actually it´s not) but if you don´t know about it when you´re building the base, two mm on EACH side ends in... (time for MATH!!)

four mm on one side!
Wich makes your unit not only "winning" some little space (beware other players with "too big" movement bases!) but also being not correctly held (wich is the point of movement trays, after all...). Thanks to the Saw God, this has a solution: cut two mm on each side of the base (or 4 on a side...) and it´s done. I only tell you this because... well... i discovered it AFTER, and now i have a too big movement tray... ¬¬U

This photo is just because it´s cool :P

This, also XD

And this is an example of the movement trays you can built with one set: Two 20 men 25mm bases, one 20 men 20 mm base, and one for four Khemri Chariots. Really interesting, in my opinion...

But behold, there is more!. There will be another post about how to get even MORE bases with just one set. Just stay tunned (not because you will see it soon, it´s just that i like readers...).

See you soon!
