I´m still alive, i swear. Mostly. For now. But this year is not a total waste in the painted miniatures section, there you can see two little fellas that were in my Ever Growing Pile of Miniatures (TM) since forever. Now, they are a proud Thug and a proud Infantrymen for Frostgrave. Hope you like them!

No moridos: Setekh y perro no muerto
Don´t believe for a second that I don´t paint anymore: It´s just that i´m usually busy with other stuff so i don´t upload pictures. Proof? here there are, two minis on the same entry!:
Setekh: Blood Bowl Star Player
Setekh: Blood Bowl Star Player
This one was a gift for my friend Von_Drake. I modelled him a mask because... well, the original face was hideous. And after a probably-too-long waiting (for my friend), here it was the result!

2014 Showdown: Sneak Peek
I had another post ready, but last minute i decided that you would enjoy more this update of the 2014 Showdown. Here it is the WIP of an Infinity miniature (first one i´m expecting to finish, since, well, ever XD), a Combined Army´s Charontid. Pictures coming!
The "pants", except for little retouching here and there are done, in a few weeks i hope to be able to show you the finished miniature (and see if it looks like a menacing creature or a 70´s techno ball). Oh, i nearly forgot, it´s painted in the Red Lanters colour scheme, which comprises, surprisingly, a lot of red.
Hope you like it, see you soon!

2014 Showdown: Spike & Blood Bowl Trophies
Third week with an update, must be a record or something :P. And again, with a finished miniature (Double record!) also valid for my 2014 Duel with Killian_Doyle (Triple hit combo!). This make my first one versus the... well, didn´t see anyone of Mr. Doyle finished minis (i mean, with the base and all :P) so i´m gonna guess... zero XD.
Fine, fine, he probably has painted 5 or 10 by now, but without photos... ok, i will ask him or something.
Anyway, here it is the little one, the Spike Trophy that GW used to sell in is web back before when things like "Specialist Games" were important to them.

Space Hulk Librarian: Finished
Ok, i had to say sorry again (huh, lot of posts starts with a "sorry" here....) for delaying this one that much. The thing is that i finished it last year, but was unable to upload pictures first because of... well, other things. And stuff. Also, because of photoshop.
Yea, photoshop. Making a composition good enough to show here is ..., well, let´s say it takes a lot of time, and somethimes i feel that it´s a semi-wasted time. Because the miniature doesn´t "bling" as much as in a simple photo, or so it looks sometimes. Anyways, this is probably the last photoshopped picture in a while, stay tuned on uncoming images for more news about this.
Yes, yes, back on topic. Here it is the finished Ultramarine Librarian:
Hope you like it, any comment will be wellcomed!
See you soon!
PS: After posting it i realized the new sistem of blogger to show pictures make them to look really small. So i´m putting this "true size" to give you a better look. Other, "normal" pictures will be easy to "see", i hope. Well, only time will tell.

Space Hulk Librarian: Painting (V)
Ok, this is almost done, the next update will be the finished mini (probably you´ll see it first on Bandua´s blog but whatever XD). Now the "infestation marks" are done, and the mutagenic lime on the back of the base is all but finished, only lacks the axe and some minor details, hope you like it as much as I.
The alien stuff breaking the floor |
Keep your turtles away from the slime |
Yeah, the skulls also need work. |
Anyways, tell me your opinions, in a few days you´ll see the finished mini. Up to that moment, i´ll keep myself busy with certain "green" mini lying around... News soon!
See you soon!

XDDD)
Bueno, espero que os guste, nos vemos!

Space Hulk Librarian: Painting (III)
Well, next update of the Terminator step by step series (Actually, if you want to know anything about the making/painting of this fellah you only have to ask, i don´t bite. Usually. :P). The grasp of the power axe is done, and the light coming from it, the freehands, the tunic... i´m painting this one quite fast, i didn´t finish it yet because i only paint on Saturday´s afternoons (and not all of them) so...
But i´m happy with it. Really happy. Here it is:

Side. Specially proud of the leg with the holy paper :P |
Side view (actually not a really interesting view XD) |
Close up of the finished freehand. And the light effect. |
Hope you like it. This photos are a few weeks old, so i hope the next post will come in short... unless I wait until I have something big to show (no pun intended). You know, nearly all the "big" stuff (except the base) is done so...
Anyways, waiting your comments, see you soon!

Nos vemos!

Space Hulk Librarian: Painting (II)
New update my friends, here is the Terminator with a few more layers of paint. Now the blue starts to look like there is a directional light, but until i paint the rest of the elements (specially his chest) i fear that the effect will not be clear enought. Anyways, tell me your opinions! :D
Front, blue almost done. |
You can see that the left leg (in the picture) its brighter on the upside, i´m planning on leaving everything far enought from the axe in a semi-dark color. Maybe the right shoulder should be darker but... ah, it ended so nice...
Side view. |
Here, look at the arm that holds the axe. You could think that, being that close to the light it should be completely blue uh? Well, a big no. The bottom of the arm will never be reached by the illumination, so... well, you know, "the brightest light cast the darkest shadow"...
Back. Not convinced about the... ass-plate XD |
The start of a freehand on the shoulder pad |
I really like how this is turning out, specially the blue. Hell, i think i have found my new blue for the Ultramarines... again...*sigh*. I also decided to do a freehand on the armour because i´m probably masochist, but hey, it was a really big flat surface, so it just... had to be done... I´m afraid that until i finish the base it will not look completely ok, but future will tell.
Anyways, stay tuned for more updates! See you soon!

Space Hulk Librarian: Painting (I)
Well, here we are at last on the painting stage... but beware, because this will not be a typical miniature!. When Mr. Killian Doyle selected this mini for me to paint, it did it with evilness on his hearth, because he wanted me to do a light source effect. I. The one who painted an Stegadon Pink, and still keeps her that way. That´s the kind of friends i have.
Still, it was what he selected, and it was an interesting challenge, so ... let´s go! First, documentantion (eh, don´t look at me that way, i alwa-sometimes look for examples and tutorials): i had seen a lot of Source Light effects on minis around the internet, so i thought it will be easy to find one that could help me, maybe even the same mini...
Wrong.
After spending a lot of time (well... half an hour... or something...) I didn´t find anything usefull, so i went for my own selection of pictures on my computer. This is what i found:
And the most useful for what i wanted:
Still, i had one problem. I really like the mini of the terminator, so going for a "complete black and only a little light" seemed like wasting a really good mini. The other option, painting the mini with dark colors and go brighter the closer to the source light was way more complicated and i wasn´t sure of how to do it.
Obviously, that was the option i choose.
I had other worries, like the fact that, being a Librarian mainly blue, a white light source could end poorly (not like the first picture above, where the "yellow" light source it´s great compared to the grey of the mini who's being fried. A blue light on a blue armour...). Anyway, i will worry about that when i´m there. That´s how i am :P.
Then, looking at the mini trying to figure out how the ligth source should look like, i decided to try a really simple but useful idea that i have seen somewhere on the internet. I picked the mini and, with only a slight push, primed them from the direction where the light should come from (the axe). It´s not at all perfect, because light doesn´t work like a spray (the intensity and other stuff) but to give you an idea its fine. Then, took some pictures to have for reference. Here they are:
