A Game of Models 2013: Sculpting (I)

              Well, here we are at last, dont think that i forgot this project. At the start of this year i made a contest to pick up an artwork that i promised i will sculpt along this year, and the chosen one was a Nurgle Chaos warrior from the old "The Lost and the Damned" book. Up to July, i didn´t even built the basic armature. It was about time to start! And so, the creature began to rise...

Basic wire structure. Doesn´t need to be perfect

                     Here you can see my now typical little silver man. Again, it doesn´t have to be perfect (or cover all the wire thing), only to, well, have a little resemblance with your objective. Add glue if needed.

                    And now we add the liquid green stuff and we have... :

Swamp Thing! Wait, no...

                   At this point i realized my first (of maaaaaany) mistake: the right leg of the mini is in a wrong position. Thankfully, sawing green stuff and silver paper is reeeeeaaaally easy (another reason to use this technique!)

I can always say it´s a mutation...

                       Well, time for REALLY start sculpting. In this kind of minis, with a loto of armour, the fist thing to sculpt is... yes, that, the armour (Duh). No details, no complications, just he basic armour pieces:

There, metal pants!

                          You can see i started sawing the leg.. Still needs more work but i´m not worried ;)

Really basic armour on the Left leg

                 Aaaand... that´s all for now. Hope the next update will come soon... and hope you like what i´m doing, still basics but you can see several techniques and the overal shape of the... thing :P.

                    Ok, waiting for your questions/comments, hope you like this! See you soon!

+++++++++++++++++ INITIATING TRANSLATION++++++++++++++++

                  Bueno, no era sin tiempo que comenzase a esculpir ya el diseño escogido en el concurso de minis de este año (voy con 6 meses de retraso... maldito termi... maldito Jake... XD). El caso es que las primeras fases son bastante parecidas a lo que ya visteis en anteriores post, figurincho con alambre cubierto de papel albal y... masilla verde líquida a tope de power. Lo bueno de hacer esto es que si te equivocas en alguna parte como yo con la pierna derecha del meco, puedes lijarlo sin mayor problema. En las fotos podéis ver que he empezado con al armadura (es la ventaja de los guerreros del caos, si tengo que esculpir músculos me muero del asco XDDDDDD). Sea como sea, espero vuestras dudas, comentarios y preguntas!

                 Nos vemos!!

Space Hulk Librarian: Painting (V)

                  Ok, this is almost done, the next update will be the finished mini (probably you´ll see it first on Bandua´s blog but whatever XD). Now the "infestation marks" are done, and the mutagenic lime on the back of the base is all but finished, only lacks the axe and some minor details, hope you like it as much as I.

The alien stuff breaking the floor

Keep your turtles away from the slime

Yeah, the skulls also need work.

                   Anyways, tell me your opinions, in a few days you´ll see the finished mini. Up to that moment, i´ll keep myself busy with certain "green" mini lying around... News soon!

                      See you soon!

+++++++++++++++++ INITIATING TRANSLATION++++++++++++++++

              Bueno, el termi casi acabado, a falta tan sólo de detallitos como las siempre presentes calaveras y el hacha.  Espero que os guste, para cualquier comentario o duda, aquí me tienen ;)

                  Nos vemos!

Jake the Dog Sculpting (II).

                   Well folks, here it is the second episode of this sculpting tutorial. Since everything from here is quite easy, i think pictures will be enought:

                    Arms done, legs on position :P:

                      Now, we will start with the  boots legs of our little friend.

Almost done

                        Aaaaaaaaaaand after a little saw and cheking for overall details, here you have the finished product, Jake the Dog :P:

Needs the rubber not to fall, actually :P

No, i didn´t forget the tail ;)

                    Well friends, that´s all, soon i will start with the tutorial of the Chaos Warrior, and (hopefully) the last updates on the painting tutorial of the Terminator. Busy i am, huh?. Hope you like it, see you soon!

What time is it? Sculpting Time!

             Hi folks, i´m pleased to announce that in the next posts my blog will have an special "guest"... a guest related to this picture i posted over six months ago (it was not my main proyect, you can tell XD):

Again, not an Slimmer mini

                    Can you guess who´s our special guest? The title of the post can give you an hindsight on the matter... or the replies on the original post of this picture, too. Anyways, i will give you a moment to try.

                ...........

                  Yes? No? Ok, the celebrity that visits us today is nothing more and nothing less than.... Jake the Dog from "Adventure Time"!:

Weeeeeee!!!

                       The reason of his visit is that, in January, i decided to sculpt a green stuff version of our beloved multi-shaping dog. Yes, i know i have to sculpt certain chaos warrior that is still not even started... i know.... but that´s how i am, the moment i have to do something... i start another thing. And i thought that making this fellah will take me little time.

                        I was a little wrong.

                        Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannyway, stay ready for my ¿first? sculpting tutorial on this blog. This is what you will need if you want to do another Jake. Or sculpt a lot of other things, actually :

Back from Summer

          Well, here we are again, one more time. What, you didn´t realize i wasn´t here? ¬ ¬ U Damn. Ok, anyway, this month i went to the beach, i catch a little sun (something strange, to me XD) and yes, i did several nerd-related stuff... too much to tell in one entry (considering i could write several entries and just move a little this blog :P). So, here is a little sneak peek of what it´s coming on in this blog:

The mistery mini! (well, sort of...)

My drawings (ok, I mostly only inked several of my older drawings...)

I´m hit, medic!! Some weird miniature position (actually i like it...)

          Hope I can offer you soon new updates! Next entry we will have a famous visit (or something...), so stay tuned! See you soon!

+++++++++++++++++ INITIATING TRANSLATION++++++++++++++++

                  Saludos del nuevo a la vuelta de mi retiro estival! .... Sí, me había ido.... ¿en serio, nadie se dió cuenta?.... en fin, mejor sigamos con el tema... Tras un mes de pillar color de persona en la playa (moreno yo, poco) y de hacer varias frikadas diversas con paz y tranquilidad (quizás demasiada, debería aprender a montar minis más rápido XD) toca poner en público dominio lo que he hecho... pero como puedo aprovechar y hacer varias entradas y así darle movimiento al blog... eso es lo que voy a hacer XD. Por ahora, en las fotos podéis apreciar varios avances de lo que he hecho, espero que os gusten!.

                    Como plato fuerte de las vacatas, en el próximo post una visita de un famoso personaje, (bueno... algo así...) con lo que... permanezcan a la espera!

                     Nos vemos!
