Let´s play a Game 2014

              (La versión española está abajo, pa los que no saben inglés... no me sean vagos...)

           Ok, i know, starting the new "Let´s play a Game" when you haven´t finished your previous one is... well... not very logic. But this game needs three months so hey, here we go again!: 

Weeeee!!!!

                 First: last year´s game it´s going well and i hope i will finish it in time (before 2014, i mean) but... it takes a lot of time. A lot. I only "work" on my hobby on Saturdays, so even fully dedicating myself to the mini, it´s consuming all my minis time. And i like to paint, also!! (Truth be told, that´s because i started on July so i only have six months left. Damn Jake XD). Aaaaaaannyways, this year i´m gonna select a more easy miniature... one mini that can be done converting existing stuff and adding more details (yes, i know that the chaos warrior could be done in that way a bit... but it will take more time that just starting from zero, believe me). Well, my choice for the 2014 challenge will be...

                 An Space Marine!.

                 Yyyyyyyyes, not the most original choice, but with all the possibilites with plastic and pieces doing a marine from zero it´s easier than most of other minis. Don´t worry, i´m trying to do something original every year and this will not be an exception. I´m not looking for an easy task, something "add an U and it´s done" or a simple reposition. No, the basis will be a marine, yes, but there are a lot of official pictures of marines around, and some of them are REALLY challenging.

               Well, RULES: this time you act even MORE! And that´s because you have to... SELECT AN OFFICIAL BOOK ABOUT SPACE MARINES. Yep, Codex of every year, of every loyalty (yes, CHAOS too!), everything with marines can be chosen. Just one little rule: book has to FOCUS mainly on them, there are not valid books like several of the ForgeWorld´s Imperial Armour ones where there is just one little page of marines. The idea is having a lot of designs, artworks, to choose from. Yes, several campaing books are focused on marines, like the Damnos one, but they usualy lack artwork or anything who´s not photos and photos of minis. But if you think you have enought original artwork not covered in other books, just suggest it!.

                 This bring me a problem. Believe it or not, i don´t have every book of space marines ever made. Yes, yes, you can´t believe that, but it´s true. So maybe you´ll have to help me a bit if you choose a book i don´t have. Thanks for your understanding :P.

                   Anyway, you have October to suggest (or support) one of the books we have just mention above. The one with more "votes" will be selected. If there are two or several with the same number of votes... we will see... maybe all will enter the next phase ;). 

                   Ok, that´s all, hope you like the idea. ¿Have an space marine artwork you´ve always liked to be brought to live? Just choose the book and tell me!. Also, i compromise myself to do ONE marine, if the artwork has several (as usually) we will select one (that, doesn´t mean someday i will not make the others, but not soon :P)

                    Bueno, para los que no entiendan inglés versión resumida :P. El año pasado organicé el concursillo "Let´s play a Game" que seleccionó el guerrero del caos que estoy esculpiendo en la actualidad. Ya sé que empezar otro concurso sin acabar el primero suena ridículo, pero como el concurso requiere varias fases mejor vamos empezando XD. La mini del año pasado requirió (bueno, requiere que aún no la acabé XD) un trabajo bastante intenso, que a efectos prácticos se me comió los últimos meses de frikerío. Y como a un servidor también le gusta pintar, este año vamos a ir por algo más sencillote... voy a esculpir un marine espacial.

                     Lo sé, lo sé, los que me conozcan diran que vaya originalidad la mía, pero con todas las opciones del plástico y de las piezas que hay en la actualidad, al menos la base del meco es sencilla de hacer, y todos sabemos que con lo horterillas que son algunos dibujos de marines hacer uno bien puede ser más complicado que esculpir una mini de cero XD. Pero pasemos a las reglas, o la regla más bien: lo que tenéis que hacer, porque este año participáis más incluso, es... seleccionar un libro centrado en los marinerillos con suficientes diseños como para ser interesante, y sugerirlo. Pueden ser de cualquier año, de cualquier credo (imperial  o perros traidores) o incluso cosas especificas como libros de campaña con suficientes inlustraciones (preferiblemente oficiales, que os conozco XD). Lo de suficientes ilustraciones es que por ejemplo libros de campaña como el de Damnos pocos dibujos van a tener, casi todo son foticos de minis, y los de ForgeWorld son casi todos dibujos "estándar" con poca o ninguna originalidad (pero si alguien considera que valen la pena, que los sugiera). 

                       La idea es escoger un libro con suficientes ilustraciones (o lo suficientemente buenas) como para hacer interesante el escoger una. Vosotros sugerís el libro, y luego el que tenga más votos pasará a la siguiente fase. Si hay varios con los mismos votos... bueno, algo miraremos ;). Aviso de que os lo creáis o no no tengo todos los libros existentes de marines, así que si tiráis por uno raro... vais a tener que echarme una mano pa encontrar "copias de seguridad" o algo para poder elegir la imágen. O colaborar si tenéis el libro propiamente dicho :P

                     En fin, lo dicho, tenéis todo el mes de Octubre para sugerir vuestro libro del que sacar diseños... en Noviembre pasaremos a la fase dos!.
