Space Hulk Librarian: The Base (II)

            Hi folks! Time to finish the base of the Librarian, on the previous entry i almost did it, but it still need working and more detailing. Well, here we go!: First, green stuff on every hole or detail that we don´t want to be "flat". I did a little breather hole in the shape of an imperial eagle (or a winged bug, it depends on who you ask...) covering the plastic bits near his left foot:

         The part of the base under the stairs was someting that needed more inspiration. I went for a "flooded" area. With toxic slime. Typical imperial :P. So, first, a bit of green stuff on the pipe to make the pouring liquid: 

And other details to make it look better.

            At this point i noticed a mistake. When i was going to cover the empty space behind the right feet, i saw that with the plasticard "level" in position, there was a hole between both pieces.

                Couldn´t change it without entering a world of troubling, so i though on another more easy way to fix it...

            Also, several details in other zones of the mini. Tried to give them a "xenos" appearance, after all the termie is on a Space Hulk, and those places aren´t exactly clean...

              Other problem: the classic "this bit of armour goes nowere" plastic problem in GW. Don´t like them, so another thing to think about.

             The liquid green stuff helped me to model the toxic slime quickly :D

              Time for the little bits that make a mini outstanding. This time, i tried the empthy bolter shells idea. After looking a loooong way, and don´t wanting to spend money on it, finally found this bits:

               Little of cutting, green stuff and hop!, bolter shells! (Well, more like autocannon shells, but hey, it´s still a weapon XD). Final mini:

                At this point i really though that everything was done. Wrong. Only when i started painting i found several parts of the mini (like the right shoulder pad) that were barely detailed or, just, plain pieces of armour melted togheter. Crap. I have the theory that this zones only appear after you have started painting the mini. Well, fixed some, but the others... i hope painting can cover them.

+++++++++++++++++ INITIATING TRANSLATION++++++++++++++++

               Bueno, al ser otro post con muchas fotos las descripciones serán breves (pero como siempre, si alguien tiene alguna duda/sugerencia/amenaza se le responderá en español. O arameo, lo que cuadre). Anyways (ups, esta es la sección española, zorry. Mierda!). Al toro, aquí se pueden ver el resto de arreglos que sufrió la base de la mini hasta convertirse en la peana escénica que yo buscaba (y no simplemente "dos peldaños en medio de ninguna parte"). Hubo que esculpir alguna zona, como el respiradero en forma de águila imperial (bueno, yo queria que fuese un águila imperial...) y arreglar algunos fallitos de cálculo, como la plancha detrás del pie derecho que no encajaba con la superior. Nada que masilla verde y un "sa roto por la infestación alienígena" no arregle. En el resto de huecos, más masilla y detalles xenos para indicar que, al fin y al cabo, esto es un pecio espacial, y ahí hace tiempo que nadie pasa el mocho. 

                  Los casquillos eran algo que quería probar desde hace tiempo, así que tras mirar muchas opciones (y decidir que no queria gastar un duro xD) pillé los tubitos de plástico que veis en la foto y los recorté y pegué donde queria los casquillos. Son del primer Rhino... pa que veáis que el que guarda siempre tiene XD. Luego la "culata" del casquillo y arreando que es gerundio. Toda la preparación, sin embargo,no evitó que algunos detalles apareciesen una vez que empecé a pintar... como las clásicas zonas de plástico fusionado de GW que hacen que hombro, codos y demás articulaciones parezcan ser algo optativo y no obligatorio. Suelo arreglarlas cuando puedo y me acuerdo, pero hay algunas, como las que aparecieron en esta mini, que directamente creo que se esconden hasta que empiezas a darle al pincel. Ahí, por joder.

                  En fin, arreglado lo que se pudo, ahora tocaba pintar... ya os iré contando! :D
