Let´s play a game...

      

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

         
           Oooook, not THAT kind of game... but an interesting one, i hope. Here it is: some of you may know (specially if you actually READ this blog) that i sculpt minis sometimes. It takes me a lot of time and effort (i´m not very fast on nothing hobby-related...) but i think that the results are good enought for me. And here starts the game:

            I´m gonna sculpt a mini.

           "Fascinating. And...?" i hear you say... well, the funny thing is... that YOU are gonna choose the mini. 

            "Fascinating. And...?"

           

            ¬ ¬U. Ah come on boys and girls, it can be funny, and it´s not gonna cost you a penny!. Let´s go on: how are you gonna do that? Easy. I collect Chaos Warriors in fantasy, and i have nearly all the army books that have been published (except for the first two, but i have them on pdf. Yes GW, i know is illegal, re-publish them and i will buy them ;)). These books are usually full of great pictures that... are never done in mini... Well, i´m gonna do one, in three steps:

First step: 

           The poll, that starts today, will last for a month and allow you to choose one of the books that i have. The mini will be chosen from that book.

Second step:

       

           The page. It will last another month, and we will choose on the previously selected book the page of the mini we want to be done "Oh, but i don´t have the book!" Well, that´s the funny thing: everyone will say one random page, and i will post the image of that page. Look at the Q&A for all the doubts i know you have now.

Third step: 

           The final one. Of all the pictures, we will make another poll and choose the final mini. I´m gonna sculpt it all over 2013, and anyone who know me can tell you that i ALWAYS do what i promise. Sooner or later, but i always fulfill my oaths. It-will-be-done.

             Everyone who studied basic maths should have notice by now that all of this means that the sculpting will start on January 2013... why so late? Two answers: having time for the polls, and because i told a friend that i will try to paint several minis this year, and i have to, well, try :P

Q&A:

          What if the page doesn´t have a picture? I will choose the first UPWARDS page who have one, and if there isn´t one, DOWNWARDS.

       What if the page have several pictures, or a picture with several warriors on it? All of the images will enter the third step, but everyone who votes for it will have to choose one warrior from the image. If there are several options, we will do another poll.

      That books are full with images of daemons, beastmens, Great daemons, so... I will not sculpt things like tanks or Hellcannons, too big (and some, already done). With Great Daemons... i will sculpt them Daemon-prince sized. I want to do more things that year XD. Other stuff like daemons, beastmen, nurglins or even a chaos space marine (yes, first two books have pictures of them) i will just sculpt them. Doesn´t matter if i don´t like/play them, you choose, i sculpt. Oh, and if it´s only an image of the face or similar, i will make drawings and show them to you to choose the final look of the mini.

        Some covers are nice... Yes, but also well know and not funny. The idea is to select a nearly-random image. If, however, i receive a lot of petitions for a cover, maybe someday i will do it. But a big MAYBE on that. 

           What if the picture is of an already-done miniature? Unless the official one is really ugly, i will skip it to the next upward-downward image. 

           Still doesn´t seem the funny thing of it... Ha-ha, thanks... I will post step-by-step images on the blog, and if i like it maybe i will even cast a mold (hell, if it´s generic enought maybe i will even sell some...)

          Anyways, if you have more questions, ask, and if they are important enought i will add them here ;). Well, time for....

1: The Lost and the Damned: Nurgle and Tzeentch on WHFB and 40k. Beastmen, daemons, cultist, space marines, EVERYTHING.

When Warhammer was cool

 

2: Slave to Darkness: Second part of the previous book. Khorne and Slaanesh (strange the book didn´t explode...) All of the previous books but focused on this two Gods.

Another must-have

3: Warhammer armies: Kingdom of Chaos: Now, only focused on WHFB. Warriors, daemons and Beastmen.

Still cool enough

 

4: Warhammer armies: Chaos: Same as the above.

No, there are no tanks on this book..

 

5: Warhammer armies: Chaos Champions: Add-on to the previous book. Special Characters for Beastmen, Daemons and Chaos warriors (half of them already done by GW).

But a lot of possibilities of re-sculpting...

 

6: Warhammer armies: Hordes of Chaos: WHFB, but only Chaos Warriors and Daemons.

Beastmen not allowed

 

7: Warhammer armies: Chaos Warriors: Ask me what is this book about. Come on.

             So, here starts the competition!. It will last until November 20, that day included. If everyone has any questions, just ask here (i will include them on the Q&A section if good enough). And if someone knows how to do a proper poll (like the ones when you only need to mark an square) on blogspot, please tell me, because i don´t know how-to :P (maybe you can´t). Let´s start writing the number and title of the book you whant to choose the picture from ;).
