Don´t ask me why, but this year I have this blog nearly abandoned, and not because I don´t have enought things to post, trust me. Well, I guess you cannot spent enought time in all your interests if you have a bazillion of them so... enjoy this entry. Last year, Mr. Von_Drake and me enjoyed (sort of) a duel who´s main interest was to "force" us to pain our armies of infinity.
I won by two miniatures to zero.
Even when the success was.... well, almost no success at all, we still tried (at least me XD) so it had it´s utility. And this year we decided to match again our wills in another painting duel.

Our main goal?: to paint, along this year, a dreadball team to use in our annual showdown on December. Being 8 miniatures (usually) a normal team, this is far from complicated for most of the painters along the web, but we know each other... so there it goes!.
People say the one who hits first hits twice, and i don´t like free punches: I jumped in and built some minis in... quite a while actually :P. Here they are!:

Let me tell you two things about this minis: First, metal Teratons are a Must-Have. You can even buy two boxes to have an (almost complete) pretty decent team, and the cast is really neat.
Second: Restic is crap. No, is worst than that. It´s the most hideous thing to ever happen to the world of miniatures. Cleaning mold lines feels eternal, and after doing it you end with a mini that doesn´t look at all "clean". In the time i built these three robots i coul´ve built over 10 miniatures of any other material, and i´m not kidding. Hard? yes? would i choose it over plastic or resin? Never-ever-ever.
I didn´t buy more from Mantic because they have a lot of this stuff, and i love Mantic. That´s why I jumped on the Metal Teratons the moment i saw them (well, technically they were a gif XD). And that´s another reason to recommend them to any Space Turtle player around.
Anyway, i have five minis built and there are from 2 teams.... i should try to focus a bit more :P. Still, if last year is an example, it will be more than enought. I will keep you informed!

Bueno, el año pasado el reto pintura de Infinity entre Mr. Von_Drake y yo acabó en una clara victoria para el autor de este humilde blog (vulgo, yo XD) por un contundente 2-0. Si, ridículo, vale, pero el caso es que gané XD.
Este año toca otro reto (y me disculpo por postear esto tan tarde, aunque Wolf y yo ya nos retamos el primer día del año :P). Esta vez, Dreadball: pintar un equipo para nuestra partida anual y así poder de una puñetera vez jugar con todo pintado (que ya ha llovido desde la ultima vez...). Siendo como son equipos de 8 figuras (y a veces 6) debería ser sencillo lograrlo... pero nos conocemos ^_^.
Sea como sea el que da primero da dos veces, arriba tienen ustedes mis figuras montadas lista para ser pintadas. Son de dos equipos (me disperso...) pero bueno, es un comienzo. Dos comentarios:
Esos Teratones son de metal: un must-have que dicen los yankis. De hecho si te compras dos cajas prácticamente tienes un equipo completo que mola mazo.
El restic es mierda pura. Es el mayor ataque al hobby que he conocido en todos mis años, y ya son muchos. Se lima relativamente mal, y lo peor es que al hacerlo le queda a la mini un "polvillo" blanco que no se irá never ever jamás hasta que la imprimes (haciéndote pensar que no has acabado de prepararla y que sigas limando). En el tiempo que monto una de restic puedo montar 10 figuras de cualquier otro material, y sabéis lo lento que soy. Es el motivo de que no me compre mucho más de Mantic, y eso que me gustan muchas de sus minis. Pero en fin, hay lo que hay.
Resumiendo: reto 2015: un equipo Dreadball, veremos quién tiene más voluntad (o tiempo) para llevarlo a cabo.
